Session description

We'll begin with a simple exploration and discussion of AI concepts, breaking them down into easy-to-understand applications in the creative classroom. Learn about Edtech tools that you and your students can use to enhance creativity. AI tools should complement, not replace, creativity & the unique perspectives of your students.

Purpose & objective

Explore the concept of harnessing the potential of AI for fostering creativity in your classroom. Participants will have a greater understanding of generative AI and the different possible uses of Artificial Intelligence in their classroom. We will explore the differences between using AI for automating teacher administrative tasks and using AI to encourage creativity creation in the classroom. I will use the gradual release model: modeling, supporting and scaffolding plus allowing time for exploration and creation.
Participants will explore various AI tools.
Participants will compare traditional AI for automation of tasks and AI for creative projects.
Participants will leave with all resources shared within the presentation.
