Holly Clark is an education leader, international speaker, bestselling author and student advocate. She’s a veteran educator who has spent over 15 years teaching in a 1:1 classroom, and over five years as an administrator in public and private schools. She holds a master’s degree in instructional design and educational technology from Columbia University. Clark is passionate about helping teachers create classrooms where students want to learn and can become the agents of their own thinking and understanding. She’s is a National Board Certified Teacher , MIEE and Google Certified Innovator .

First 15 minutes: Understanding AI's Impact on Education

Introduction to the concept of Artificial Intelligence and its growing significance in the educational sphere.
Discussion on the dual perspectives: apprehension due to changes in traditional teaching versus enthusiasm for future-ready skills.

Next 15 minutes: AI Toolbox – An Overview
Presentation of a list of tools for the toolbox: a collection of AI tools and resources relevant to education.
Exploration of how these tools can be integrated into current educational models and practices.

Final 30 minutes: Practical Strategies for AI Integration
Demonstrations of how AI tools from the toolbox can enhance learning and teaching experiences.
Strategies for educators to confidently and ethically incorporate AI into their curriculum.
Interactive session on designing AI-inclusive lesson plans and activities, focusing on preparing students for an AI-centric future.

Supporting research

This sessions will be taught by using examples from two schools who have been actively at the forefront of this technology using information from UNESCO, The Coming Wave: Technology, Power, and the Twenty-first Century's Greatest by Mustafa Suleyman, AI 2041 by Kai-Fu Lee and Scary Smart by Mo Gawdat. It also includes insights with work done with over 75k educators training them to use AI in their classrooms.
