Holly Clark is an education leader, international speaker, bestselling author and student advocate. She’s a veteran educator who has spent over 15 years teaching in a 1:1 classroom, and over five years as an administrator in public and private schools. She holds a master’s degree in instructional design and educational technology from Columbia University. Clark is passionate about helping teachers create classrooms where students want to learn and can become the agents of their own thinking and understanding. She’s is a National Board Certified Teacher , MIEE and Google Certified Innovator .

Session description

In this session, we'll delve into fostering student-AI collaboration through interactive tools, ethical usage, and project-based learning. This session is designed to be hands-on and equip educators with strategies for integrating AI to enhance students' critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

Purpose & objective

By the end of this session, participants will:

Understand AI Fundamentals and Ethical Considerations: Gain a solid foundation in AI basics, including its potential and limitations, and develop an understanding of ethical considerations in AI usage in education.

Explore Hands-On AI Tools: Become familiar with various AI tools applicable in educational settings. Educators will learn how to use these tools to enhance learning and engagement in their classrooms.

Develop Strategies for Student Collaboration: Acquire techniques to encourage collaboration among students using AI tools, promoting a more interactive and cooperative learning environment.

Adapt to Diverse Learning Needs: Understand how AI can be used to tailor educational content to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.

This sessions will be taught by using examples from two schools who have been actively at the forefront of this technology using information from UNESCO, The Coming Wave: Technology, Power, and the Twenty-first Century's Greatest by Mustafa Suleyman, AI 2041 by Kai-Fu Lee and Scary Smart by Mo Gawdat. It also includes insights with work done with over 75k educators training them to use AI in their classrooms.
