Sara Cornish leads global marketing for Minecraft Education at Microsoft, where she oversees brand, storytelling, and product marketing. Prior to Minecraft, Sara developed programs and partnerships at Games for Change and United Nations Global Pulse. Sara lives in Seattle with her family and is a firm believer in play-based learning.



Jen Dawson is an Esports Solution Specialist for CDW. Having been a former educator, her desire for improving the education experience, equity, and inclusion has carried over into her career in technology and esports. With over 10+ years in the technology industry and being a lifelong gamer, she brings her passion for education and knowledge of technology to holistically support our schools and partners across the country.









Claire LaBeaux is the Chief Advancement Officer for NASEF. She has spearheaded efforts to raise awareness of the benefits of scholastic esports as NASEF grew from a small regional pilot in 2018 to its current status as the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations (headquartered in the United States with affiliates around the world). Claire amplifies the work of educators who leverage esports for combined play and meaningful learning. She also helps parents, administrators, and the esports industry understand the benefits of scholastic esports. Claire is program manager for Farmcraft, MENAcraft, Beyond the Game challenges, and more.




Allison Matthews is the dynamic leader of Minecraft Education, inspired by Mojang Studio’s mission to build a better world through play. She spearheads the product vision and growth strategy and has evolved Minecraft Education into a global educational phenomenon with robust partnerships and millions of engaged players. She is passionate about using game-based learning to empower youth with crucial skills in areas like coding, digital literacy, and sustainability.

Dive into the world of competitive esports with students using Minecraft Education to bring their imaginations to life in a LIVE blocky showdown! Join us as teams from around the country engage in a Minecraft head-to-head build challenge. Witness the creativity and ingenuity of student teams as they tackle a unique challenge simultaneously on the Main Stage. Throughout the gameplay, shoutcasters will provide insightful commentary, offering viewers an immersive experience into the competitive world of esports. The event will culminate with a presentation by the competitors, showcasing their remarkable creations, followed by a prize ceremony. Thank you to our esports sponsor, CDW!
