Session description

Come to a lightning-fast session on the latest and most promising AI-enhanced tools, citing current research and teaching strategies reflecting inclusion, STEAM, and ISTE Standards. We will take time to reflect as of June 2025 on where we are with AI and where we're going. Techy door prizes!

Outline

5 minutes: Introduction and description of presentation style (fast, but participants will receive all slides and resources).
10 minutes: Overview of trends, challenges, and possibilities of AI.
20 minutes: Examples of AI apps for saving teachers time and providing extensive resources and classroom materials
20 minutes: Examples of AI apps to be used by students, and how teachers can act as inspirational guides.
5 minutes: Summary and Raffle

Supporting research

Because of the nature of artificial intelligence, and the rapidly changing information, research will include very recent articles from respected journals, video clips from established news programs, and interviews with educators. That said, there will be references to educational philosophers such as Lev Vygotsky and John Dewey.
