Outline
(1) Introduction and Icebreaker (5 minutes)
Welcome participants and brief introduction
"Perfect Book" Quick Poll: "What's one challenge you face in engaging young readers?"
Brief overview of the "Perfect Book Project" and its goals.
Engagement:
Quick verbal responses from the audience.
Optional: Use a digital polling tool like Mentimeter for real-time feedback.
(2) Project Deep Dive: The Four-Step Process (15 minutes)
Detailed explanation of the project's four steps:
Student Input & Survey
AI-Generated Book Ideas & Student Feedback
Chapter Outline & Student Editing
Final Book Creation & Audio Recording
Visual aids: Show examples of student surveys, AI-generated book ideas, chapter outlines, and finished books.
Highlight the AI literacy lessons embedded in each step.
Explain AI hallucinations and how students edited them.
Engagement:
Show examples of bad AI hallucinations, and ask the audience how they would help students to edit those hallucinations.

(3) Hands-On Activity: "Perfect Book" Planning (20 minutes)
Participants are divided into small groups.
Each group receives a "Perfect Book" planning digital worksheet and access to the Gemini prompts.
Groups brainstorm ideas for a "perfect book" based on a specific grade level and reading level.
Groups will create a prompt based on their book idea.

Each group will share their prompts and book ideas.
(4) Collaborative Resource Creation: "Adaptation Ideas" (15 minutes)
Facilitate a group discussion about adapting the "Perfect Book Project" for different contexts.
Use a shared digital document to capture ideas.
