James is a senior education technology, AI readiness, and digital governance leader with over 30 years of experience across schools, large education trusts, cybersecurity, and safeguarding. Based in the UK, he advises schools and education systems on developing secure, ethical, and sustainable approaches to digital transformation and AI adoption. James previously served as Director of IT at one of England’s largest education trusts and led England's national EdTech Demonstrator Programme, supporting over 2,000 schools. He now runs a consultancy advising education leaders on AI , cyber resilience, digital strategy and safeguarding, helping boards translate risk into clear assurance.
