Ashlie Crosson is the 2025 National Teacher of the Year. A first-generation college student, she teaches AP Literature, American Literature, and Survival Stories at Mifflin County High School — the Pennsylvania community that raised her. Crosson holds degrees in English education from Susquehanna University, educational leadership from Penn State, and a gifted endorsement from Millersville University. A 2018 Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms fellow, she helped integrate a global framework into Pennsylvania's Standards Aligned System. She also oversees international student travel, serves as a Pennsylvania NEA delegate, and contributes to NCTE's AI Curriculum Framework cohort.
