1. Session Overview (2–3 min)
• Introduce purpose: equip educators with strategies for teaching digital citizenship in an AI-driven world.
• Quick hook: poll or word cloud (“What’s your biggest AI worry for students?”)
• Mention alignment to ISTE Standards (Leaders 1c, Educators 3b, Students 2a)
2. The AI Landscape (10 min)
• AI’s role in learning, creation, and collaboration
• Challenges: bias, misinformation, privacy, plagiarism
• Highlight inclusive, ethical approaches (links to Leaders 1c)
3. ISTE Standards Connection (5–7 min)
• Explain relevant ISTE Standards for Leaders, Educators, and Students
• Show how standards guide digital citizenship and AI literacy
• Real-world examples of AI in classrooms
4. Framework for Responsible AI Use (10 min)
• Introduce Think > Critique > Create > Reflect framework
• Discussion prompts:
o How accurate is AI output?
o Who benefits or is harmed by AI?
o What’s ethical use in this context?
• Model how educators can facilitate reflection and critical thinking
5. Case Studies (10 min)
• Scenarios: AI plagiarism, biased image generation, chatbot privacy
