Event Information
0:00–5:00 | Welcome + Hook
Content/Engagement: Open with the question: “What if your students could publish instead of just turn in?”
Show examples where Express + Book Creator were combined:
Students used Adobe Express to design character portraits and setting visuals, then imported them into Book Creator to publish a collaborative class novel.
A science class created Express infographics, then embedded them in a Book Creator digital field guide.
Audience Activity: Quick turn-and-talk: “What assignment in your classroom could be transformed if students published instead of submitting?”
5:00–15:00 | Quick Wins Creation Challenge
Content/Engagement: Model how fast students can design with Adobe Express.
Prompt: Create a book cover for a favorite story or classroom text OR a motivational poster with a student-centered quote.
Audience Activity: Participants design in Express in under 5 minutes.
Process: Share with a neighbor and imagine how it could become one “page” in a larger digital book or showcase.
15:00–30:00 | Story Spark Workshop (Hands-On)
Content/Engagement: Show how Express projects (graphics, video, audio clips) can be easily pulled into Book Creator as building blocks.
Prompt: Create a 2–3 page micro-book in Book Creator using at least one original Express design. Example prompts:
“About Me in 3 Pages” (teachers can model what students would do)
“My Classroom in Three Snapshots”
“One Idea I Want Students to Remember”
Audience Activity: Build a short book that blends text, an Express-made graphic, and one media element (audio or video).
Process: Partner share to highlight different creative combinations.
30:00–45:00 | Remix + Adapt Across Content
Content/Engagement: Show subject-area mashups:
History students create Express timelines, then publish them in a Book Creator "Voices from History" diary.
STEM students design Express lab diagrams, then embed them in a Book Creator digital notebook.
SEL project: students design Express affirmation cards, then compile a Book Creator class anthology of encouragement.
Audience Activity: Small groups remix one example: "How would you adapt this for your subject/grade?”
Process: Share adaptations on a shared book in Book Creator — creating a live bank of cross-curricular ideas.
45:00–55:00 | Publish for Impact
Content/Engagement: Demonstrate how combining the two tools makes publishing authentic: Express feeds quick design and creativity, Book Creator curates and publishes the story for audiences beyond the classroom.
Audience Activity: Reflect: “Where could YOUR students share their work — family nights, digital portfolios, student showcases, newsletters?”
Process: Each participant drafts one authentic publishing plan for their students.
55:00–60:00 | Reflection + Takeaway
Prompt: Using Express, create a one-slide reflection graphic OR use Book Creator to add a final reflection page: “Creativity in My Classroom Means…”
Process: Share to a collaborative library or social hashtag (#ISTE26) to build community connections after the session.
After this session, participants will be able to:
Design multimedia storytelling projects using Adobe Express and Book Creator that integrate text, images, audio, and video.
Adapt project templates and classroom examples to different grade levels and content areas.
Implement scaffolding strategies that support diverse learners, including reluctant writers and emerging multilingual students.
Facilitate authentic publishing opportunities that build student confidence, community, and digital literacy.
Apply at least one ready-to-use project idea immediately in their own classroom or library program
