Session description

This fast-paced Turbo Talk introduces five reflective questions to help educators build a more inclusive mindset. Participants will explore how inclusive design and technology can support all learners, collaborating to identify actionable next steps. The session models how small mindset shifts can meaningfully enhance inclusive learning environments.

Outline

5 minutes: Facilitators will set the stage for conversation by sharing the idea of Inclusive Mindset and how to cultivate our ability to design learning experiences for all learners.
10 minutes: The facilitators will introduce the “Questions Inclusive Educators Ask” and provide examples. Participants will be invited to discuss with colleagues and reflect on their practices.
10 minutes: The facilitators and participants will exchange ideas about how to incorporate inclusive practices into their classroom and why it helps build an inclusive environment for all learners.
5 minutes: Facilitators will introduce a Call to Action that will empower participants to extend their inclusive practices.

2. List 3 actionable steps to take to facilitate inclusive learning environments in their educational settings
3. Make a plan to immediately implement at least 1 new inclusive strategy upon their return to their educational setting
