Event Information
The following is a tentative outline assuming a 90-minute session and can be adjusted as participants visit the poster and ask questions.
Welcome and engagement (15 minutes)
Modeling of what to do with all of the ideas in your head (15 minutes)
What is your WHY? (15 minutes)
What are my options to get published? (15 minutes)
Successes and pitfalls of a first time author and an aspiring author (15 minutes)
Final Q&A and closure (15 minutes)
During this session, we will discuss drawing from your experiences, fighting imposter syndrome, and finding your voice through different writing options both online and offline. We will hone in on reflecting on goal setting to help participants stay focused on why they want to write a book. Additionally, we will also look at different publishing options (Amazon KDP, Ingram Spark, BN press, etc.) and what assistance might be needed along the journey. Although the presenter will bring his experiences from the past year as a new author, collaboration will be key as each person’s experiences are different and we will collaborate on how to get their messages out to the world!
