Session description

Watch humans and AI go head-to-head in a fast-paced “prompt-off” tackling real classroom challenges that impact students with disabilities. Discover creative ways AI can support communication, instruction, assistive technology, and accessibility, with plenty of audience interaction as we design the future of learning together.

Outline

5 minutes- Introductions and Objectives
10 minutes- Getting to Know Participants (Digital interaction to establish AT needs, and current use of AI), Provide Padlet Share Wall for participants to access
10 minutes- Demonstrate how AI can aid in communication with students with disabilities and families, participants vote on showdown prompts where our presenters compete with AI for the win, participant trial of strategies and tools
10 minutes- Demonstrate how AI can aid educators with instructional support to scaffold instruction and provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) to students with disabilities, participants vote on showdown prompts where our presenters compete with AI for the win, participant trial of strategies and tools
10 minutes- Demonstrate how AI can help support Assistive Technology & Accessibility
5 minutes- Student use of AI, Scaffolding and Explicit Instruction for Students with Disabilities, Share posters, checklists, and other resources for students
10 minutes- Wrap-Up, Voting on Participant Prompts, Enter the winning prompts in a generative AI tool to see results, Review Objectives, Share resources
