Session description

At Winterboro High School, we believe in being #exceptional and that there’s always a WIN in WINterboro. This session shares how technology transforms math instruction across grades 8, 10, and 12—engaging students through interactive tools, real-time feedback, and collaborative learning that make every lesson a Tech-ceptional WIN.

Outline

1. Quick Introduction (1 minute)
a. Presenters introduce themselves.
b. Share Winterboro’s mission: #exceptional and There’s always a WIN in WINterboro.
c. Explain the session’s focus: showcasing tech tools that engage students and support personalized math learning.

2. Poster Content Highlights (3–5 minutes)
a. Central Question: How can technology make math engaging and equitable?
b. Visual sections on the poster with examples and short descriptions of tools:
1. iReady: Data-driven, personalized learning paths.
2. Nearpod: Interactive lessons with real-time feedback.
3. Magma Math & 99math: Collaborative, gamified practice.
4. Blooket & Gimkit: Game-based review for engagement and mastery.
c. Include quick QR codes linking to sample lessons or demonstrations.

3. Engagement & Interaction (1–2 minutes)
a. Attendees can:
1. Explore tool demos on their own devices via QR codes.
2. Engage in a quick sample activity (e.g., Blooket or Gimkit mini game at the poster).
3. Ask presenters for quick coaching tips on implementation.

4. Takeaways
a. Attendees will leave able to:
1. Identify at least one tech tool to enhance math instruction.
2. Understand how to adapt tools for learner variability.
3. Apply coaching insights for integrating technology in meaningful ways.
