1. 5 minutes: Intros, Roles, Welcome & The WHY
2. 10 minutes: The Science of Reading Background
3. 10 minutes: The Instructional Toolkit with high and low-tech, partner exploration and demo with devices
4. 10 minutes: Differentiation in Action, group dialogue around need and processes
5. 10 Minutes, Utilizing The Reading Rope, group exploration
6. 5 minutes, The power of children's literature to support instruction, small group exploration
7. 5 minutes, Reflect on a shift you can make in a lesson or activity of your own ,with a partner
8. 5 minutes, Q&A and takeaways
Participants will actively engage with one another in dialogue and discussion as we explore Scarborough's Reading Rope, a foundational tool that illustrates the skills needed to master reading fluently.
They will also add processes and strategies to support diverse early learners.
We will explore both high-tech and low-tech tools to differentiate instruction.
Lastly, participants will leave with knowledge of tools to engage students and families at home.
