Session description
Educators have attempted to address student mental health through numerous remedies, including social-emotional learning and stress management approaches like mindfulness. But we can’t teach our way out of this crisis with the right SEL curriculum or solve the problem by treating the symptoms. Improving student mental health requires an honest appraisal of which classroom and school practices enhance student well-being--and which ones don’t. Learn how educators are facilitating belonging, autonomy, and support and approaching mental health in comprehensive and proactive ways.
