Session description
This story begins with an early 20th century train image and aligns ISTE Standards for Students with a STEAM Mindset framework (Self-Starter, Thinker, Energizer, Adventurer, Maker) to create integrated learning experiences where students develop both digital citizenship and creative problem-solving skills. By connecting ISTE's focus on technology competency, digital citizenship, and innovation with STEAM's emphasis on self-motivation, critical thinking, collaboration, curiosity, and creation, we can design lessons that develop empowered digital learners who use technology purposefully to solve real-world problems, collaborate ethically, and create meaningful artifacts that demonstrate students’ learning and impact their communities.
