Alexes M. Terry is a Senior Professorial lecturer and Director of Clinical Faculty with City Teaching Alliance - DFW, in collaboration with American University. She’s the author of Real Love: Strategies for Reaching Students When They See No Way Out, and the founder of TwistED Teaching, an educational consulting company, where she strives to "twist" the way teaching and learning happen in urban schools by building educators’ capacity to cultivate and sustain culturally responsive learning environments while protecting their peace.
