The purpose is to consider the impact of artificial Intelligence and machine learning and to discuss the implications for the future of education and work. The session will focus on a list of 10 do's and 10 don'ts when it comes to Artificial Intelligence. With such rapidly advancing technology not just impacting education, it is transforming many areas of work and daily life. Educators are in the best position to help students understand the capabilities of these technologies and also need to understand the ethical considerations and other potential negative impacts.
We will talk about the don't first, with some interaction from attendees, and then dive into the do's. A survey will be used also before the session to gather some ideas from attendees and to prepare additional materials or share more ideas with attendees.
We will then dive into some tools that educators can use that are beneficial for students and then some that help with productivity and efficiency.
The audience will be encouraged to explore some of the sites mentioned and try some of the activities.
The use of some AI tools during the session to show impact and also to invite conversation from attendees who have used some of the tools and also share ideas about other do's and don'ts to consider.
