Renata Ursula Flores Merino Krolikiewicz has a Bachelor 's Degree in Graphic Design. She has been teaching Geography and English courses for 26 years to students from 7 to 9 grade at Centro Escolar Los Altos in Mexico. She has the purpose to make students see beyond social media and to create and share wonderful places from around the world to preserve and actually visit them.

Session description

Discover a different way of bringing students closer to several places and wonders around the world that have been discovered with the help of creativity and augmented reality. Wake up the curiosity and develop the scientist that your students have inside.

Purpose & objective

-The project begins with an investigation of little-known but wonderful places around the world using technological resources and sources including ChatGPT. They must always corroborate the information obtained from the source.

-The information obtained will be corroborated with other reliable sources such as National Geographic. Once the information is ready, videos, presentations, texts, audios and images will be generated, add them as part of the information that can be found on an interactive map with augmented reality.

-With the technological resources ready, we begin to create a map of the world using mathematical scales and adding triggers for augmented reality.

-The map can be scanned with an iPad or with the spectator´s device, with augmented reality. Students enrich the experience of exploring wonders not very known to the world with videos, audios, and images that they prepared.

Outline

-The interactive map is presented in scale, the viewer is invited to use their device or an iPad from the presenters to explore the map with the help of augmented reality.
The spectator will be able to decide which place to visit, and explore the wonders not very known in the 5 continents.

-While some viewers are exploring the map, a couple of students will be explaining and teaching the use of augmented reality. A third student will explain the process of research and how they verified the information obtained through ChatGPT.
