Purpose & objective
Purpose: Educators will participate as guests and listeners in a live podcast episode and experience recording a podcast episode.
Objectives:
- Listen to the stories about how podcasting facilitates school connectedness
- Engage attendees and participate in a live recording of a podcast episode
- Practice designing, recording, and editing a podcast
- Leave with resources to get started podcasting
Outline
- Listen (25 min) to the stories from educators, students, administrators, and families of how podcasting increased school connectedness
- Engage (30 min) with other attendees in the creation lab to experience recording a live podcast
- Practice (30 min) designing, recording, and editing a podcast episode using provided templates, equipment, and software
- Leave (5 min) with resources on how to bring podcasting to your lessons, your community, or professional learning network
