The purpose of our presentation, "4 Steps for Supporting your Students' Creativity with BookWidgets," is to empower educators with the knowledge and tools to enhance student creativity through technology. Participants will learn how to teach and reinforce foundational concepts using customizable, interactive activities, share digital content to foster student collaboration, monitor student progress in real time, and provide personalized feedback. We will address the challenge of engaging diverse learners by showcasing how BookWidgets transforms static content into dynamic learning experiences such as webquests and games. Utilizing models like the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) model, we will demonstrate effective lesson plans and instructional strategies. Evidence of success will be provided through classroom data, highlighting improved student engagement and learning outcomes. Participants will leave equipped to integrate these tools and strategies into their teaching practice, enhancing both their instructional methods and their students' creative capacities.
