Wyman Khuu is currently the Senior Director of STEM for KIPP NYC. He is passionate about providing equitable and authentic science opportunities to all students and is enthusiastic about robotics, computational thinking, and phenomena based science instruction. Wyman graduated with a degree in Political Science and Statistics from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education. Outside of education, Wyman helps run a youth volleyball organization and his hobbies include traveling, cycling, trying new foods, and photography.Wyman leads Learning Engineering at Playlab, partnering with educators and nonprofits to create equitable AI access. He's passionate about democratizing AI development by empowering educators to be critical creators and consumers of new technologies. Previously, he spent 10 years in education as Senior Director of STEM for KIPP NYC and an award-winning science teacher, developing computational thinking curriculum and phenomena-based STEM instruction. Before education, he coached volleyball at University of Michigan and worked at Google and Burson-Marsteller. Outside work, he runs a nonprofit youth volleyball organization and enjoys exploring restaurants, travel, photography, and cycling.
