Session description

High school students developed a project using AR and digital modeling to address the loss of plant features in traditional herbarium preservation. By integrating 3D technology and cloud-based tools, they enhanced the accuracy and interaction of plant specimens. The project was showcased at the International Botanical Congress, Madrid 2024.

Outline

The presentation will cover the development of the project, including how the problem was identified, the methodology, results, conclusions, and future perspectives. It will feature audiovisual content, an explanatory poster, and the audience will have the opportunity to interact with the digital plant models using devices provided by the presenters. The explanation time will be brief, not exceeding 10 minutes, with a 5-minute interaction period for the digital models.
