Engaging Students with Roblox Studio and Lua Programming

This workshop aims to empower educators with innovative strategies for integrating Roblox Studio and Lua programming into their curriculum. Participants will explore the interactive potential of Roblox Studio, learn foundational Lua programming concepts, and apply these skills through hands-on activities and collaborative design projects.

Session Outline:
- Introduction & Objectives (10 minutes):Overview of workshop goals, benefits of Roblox Studio, and Lua programming in education.
- Roblox Studio Demo (15 minutes):Introduction to Roblox Studio’s interface, basic functionalities, and a live demonstration of creating a simple game environment.
- Lua Programming Activity (20 minutes): Basic Lua scripting concepts including variables, functions, loops, and conditionals, with guided coding exercises.
- Collaborative Design (20 minutes): Participants will work in groups to design and develop a mini-game or interactive scene in Roblox Studio, applying Lua scripting techniques.
- Reflection & Best Practices (10 minutes):
Discussion on challenges, solutions, and best practices for effective use of Roblox Studio and Lua.
