Session description

Explore how a student-led eBay business within your school can infuse entrepreneurism, technology education, and business education, and reduce waste by repurposing discarded items from a school district. Discover best practices and start-up steps at this session. Creating a student-operated eBay business aligns with multiple ISTE Standards.

Outline

For this poster session the outline envisions poster session attendees visiting my poster for 10 - 15 minutes before moving along to view the next poster presentation. This 10 - 15 minute presentation can be repeated throughout the duration of the poster session as new attendees visit my session.

Content and Engagement:
Enthusiasm, knowledge sharing, and answering questions. I will directly connect with each attendee who attends this poster session with an overview of the topic of starting an online eBay business in schools, showing connections to ISTE Standards and Transformational Learning Principles, and providing direct examples of how this idea can be implemented in schools around the globe.

Time:

An attendee typically spends 10-15 minutes at my poster session based on my prior ISTE Conference presentation experiences. One of the moderators from a prior year indicated I had the most number of attendees and had attendees ask them where my session was located because they heard amazing things from others and wanted to stop by to learn for themselves.

Process:

My presentation will be engaging, exciting to hear, and interactive. I will address each attendees questions and explain how an school based eBay business can incorporate topics such as AI, math, software programs like Excel, business concepts, and online marketing.

Overall I am super excited to be considered for the opportunity to present this session at ISTE 2025!
