Session description

My district lost four schools last year due to a demerger which resulted in a loss of a substantial amount of federal dollars. This session will focus on how to save the district dollars while creatively using available human resources to provide targeted support through program restructuring.

Outline

Content and engagement: A brief history of where the beginning teacher support program was four years ago compared to where it is today. (10 minutes)

The presenter will share different scenarios and engage the audience in finding solutions to the challenges presented with each scenario through peer-to-peer interaction. (5 @ 5 minutes each)

The audience will have multiple opportunities to engage with the presenter and each other on where they are with beginning teacher support and gain suggestions on how they can strengthen their programs without incurring additonal costs. (15 minutes)

Wrap-up with Q&A Session (10 minutes)
