Session description

In this workshop, participants will explore the leadership capacities of love, care, and vulnerability as practices toward improved student outcomes. Drawing from "Finding Your Leadership Soul," participants will reflect on their unique leadership journeys, cultivate belonging and emotional intelligence, and discover strategies to amplify authentic relationship-building and collaboration.

Outline

15 mins - Grounding and Reflective Exercise to Center our Topic of Finding Your Leadership Soul. Individual reading, reflecting and then whole group sharing.
10 mins - Centering Trust and Braving as a Guide: allow participants to metabolize the BRAVING as a guide. Participants can privately identify which feel connected and which feel more foreign. Invite whole group sharing.
30 mins - Story Telling through Vulnerability, Care, and Love as a practice for leaders: Anchored in the lessons of FYLS, participants (grouped in triads) will engage in appreciative interviews to share and discover values that guide their leadership.
20 mins - Creating Six Word Leadership Soul Story Activity: This activity provides time to exercise self-discover, vulnerability, creativity, and communal care. Each person has individual time to create a visual representation of their values as discovered by the storytelling (and notes from the activity), then both illustrate and write the title of their Leadership Soul Story in exactly six words.
15 mins Presentation of Learning: Because "words build worlds", every participant will present their Leadership Soul Story.
