Session description

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every teacher did everything perfectly…the first time? Well, yeah, and…sometimes folks slip up. In this session, discuss the dos and don’ts of handling performance concerns with Pete Hall, former award-winning principal and author of “The Instructional Leader’s Most Difficult Job.”

Outline

Research summary (10 minutes): How do most administrators tend to handle performance concerns?
Reflection (5 minutes): Have you seen these in action? How might this affect the climate/culture of the school?
Strategy overview (20 minutes): I'll provide an entertaining and authentic view of how to better address performance concerns, keeping the "main thing" as the main thing: strengthening the climate and culture and impacting students learning outcomes positively.
