Session description

In a time when compassion fatigue has never been more prominent, burnout and turnover are leading to unprecedented teacher shortages. This session will provide leaders with strategies for supporting the whole teacher both personally and professionally and reignite the joy for teaching.

Outline

This presentation will focus on combating teacher burnout. The session will be divided into two parts. The first half of the presentation will focus on strategies to support teachers professionally. The second half will focus on strategies to support teachers personally.

Part 1: Strategies to Support Teachers Professionally (30 minutes)
Process: Peer-to-peer interaction, individual reflection, whole group analysis
