Event Information
In this session, Abi Wilberding will guide with participants through a multi-modal brainstorm and building of actionable ways to create their own versions of Change Ideas in their educational environments and creating systemic change through UDL and student voice.
Participants will co-create this session based on their own choices and needs for representation, engagement, and action. Based on participant interest and need, the session will change in real-time to model the experience of Change Ideas for students. Participants can explore models of Change Ideas as well as tools and frameworks to empower student voice. Video, audio, and visual examples of Change Ideas will be integrated into the session for participant engagement.
Additionally, participants will be supported in creating their own curriculum and projects they can immediately implement in their educational contexts.
Participants will leave with an understanding of how UDL can promote, engage, and initiate student activism that can truly catalyze systemic change in schools.
