Session description

Get ready to slam dunk storytelling integration with spoken word creations! Explore guiding your students through the art of Poetry Slams, including tech tips and the scaffolding needed for success! Come willing to experiment with voice and walk away with tech integration skills and confidence after creating your slam!

Outline

* Opening (5 minutes) Introductions & Objectives
* Performance (10 minutes) Experience a live Poetry Slam from a Poetry Slam veteran and explore Poetry Slam recordings
* Wonder Moment (5 minutes) A digital whiteboard experience to insert thoughts & questions hopefully using the Wicked Hydra EduProtocol method
* Tools for Success (10 minutes) Exploration of tools and steps for successful implementation
* Create & Record (15 minutes) Attendees will create a (mini) Poetry Slam of their own.
* Presentation (15 minutes) Watch & Give Feedback on the slams (with attendees permission to showcase their work).
