Session description

In this session, we’ll explore using Roblox and interactive videos to teach digital citizenship. Attendees will engage in a custom Roblox game that simulates online scenarios, reinforcing key concepts like online safety and respectful communication. Participants will also get a library of interactive videos to enhance the learning experience.

Outline

What content will be presented?
A: An overview of the Roblox project for teaching digital citizenship, including interactive gameplay experiences, digital exercises, gamified challenges, and guides for implementing these activities in the classroom.
A visit to a created Interactive Videos library for the audience to see as an alternate method to roblox.

How will you connect and engage the audience?
A: By demonstrating the Roblox game in action, allowing participants to experience how gaming enhances learning, and encouraging their involvement in activities to provide firsthand experience in digital citizenship education.

What activities will the audience participate in?
A: Participants will engage in gameplay to solve digital citizenship scenarios and discuss best practices for online safety and respect.

Showcase of the game: 3 minutes
Audience playing Roblox: 7 minutes
Giving Interactive videos to audience: 1 minute
Answering questions and feedback: 2 minutes

Roblox and Video Showcase: Explaining and demonstrating how the game and interactive videos work and the digital citizenship skills they cultivate.

Interactive Workshop: Allowing the audience to interact with the Roblox game and videos using their devices, fostering collaboration and learning.
