Session description

Attendees will design and animation geometric solids in GeoGebra, from prisms to spheres and at the end they will share their knowledge in a hands-on workshop. The content includes the visualization and building of 3D shapes while developing their creativity and digital skills. And to enhance engagement, all this will come to life using a VR tool (SketchUp Viewer or another similar software). They will expect to learn digital skills, explore immersive learning activities, and develop spatial reasoning by designing interactive simulations, making abstract mathematical concepts more tangible and engaging for all learners.

Outline

Attendees will explore geometry through hands-on activities using GeoGebra and VR Tools.

Introduction: Presentation of the project´s path from its planning to the achievement of results.

Process:
Raising awareness of geometry.
Posters, animated videos and questions will be posed such as: Have you used geometry in your daily life? What are the limits of creativity in geometric design and animation?

Interactive Activity:

Representation of 2D and 3D objects using GeoGebra, and creation of their own designs for discovering the versatility of this tool. In addition, they will invite the audience to experiment in a practical way.

Then, using a VR tool, they will interact with geometry concepts.

Q&A Session: Open discussion to express doubts.

Time:
Introduction: 5 minutes
Project Overview: 10 minutes
Interactive Activity: 15 minutes
Q&A Session: 10 minutes

Technology Integration:

GeoGebra and VR tools develop spatial reasoning, digital skills, and real world geometry applications.
