Session description

Data Maker Junior empowers students to be data analysts through teamwork. They solve real-world problems using simulated school data, gaining practical experience and developing data key skills. In the project, students take on different roles, such as secretary, researcher, scientist, and communicator, to execute and present data analysis projects.

Outline

Content and engagement:
I will use a Google Slides presentation with QR codes to access a Google Form and the dashboard made in Looker Studio. By scanning the QR codes with their smartphones, participants will answer the questionnaire and access the dashboard where they will make selections of what they want to see.

Supporting research

Participants will respond to the form once. Upon accessing the dashboard with the results, they will be able to compare their selections with those of their colleagues. When presenting the roles of the students, I will ask which roles they identify with.
