Session description

Experience a student-centered classroom where AI enhances engagement and agency. In this hands-on model lesson, participants will act as students, using Yourway to personalize learning, reflect on their thinking, and create interactive learning artifacts. Walk away with strategies to integrate AI for deeper student engagement and ownership.

Outline

1. Introduction & Warm-up (10 min)
Participants act as students, engaging with a guiding question and challenge. A brief AI primer introduces Yourway’s role in inquiry and engagement.

2. Inquiry & Exploration (20 min)
Participants use Yourway to research and explore solutions, engaging in small group discussions to analyze AI-generated insights.

3. Creation & Application (30 min)
Teams use AI to develop creative responses (e.g., digital presentations, stories, infographics). Reflection prompts guide critical thinking on the learning process.

4. Student Showcases & Discussion (20 min)
Groups present their work, discussing decision-making and AI's role in enhancing engagement. A whole-group discussion follows on the impact of AI-supported inquiry.

5. Debrief & Application (10 min)
Educators reflect on AI’s role in fostering student agency and explore classroom implementation strategies.

Technology Integration:
Yourway serves as an AI co-creator, supporting personalized learning, brainstorming, and reflection to enhance engagement and real-world application.
