Dr. Kim Wallace

Dr. Kim Wallace is an educational leader, consultant, and author with more than 30 years of experience in California public education. She began her career as a high school English and history teacher before serving as a principal, district administrator, and superintendent of one of California’s 20 largest school districts. Since 2020, Kim has served as Associate Director of the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy (21CSLA) State Center at the University of California Berkeley School of Education. She also leads her consulting firm, Process Makes Perfect, supporting systems change and leadership development for educators nationwide and internationally. An award-winning educator, Kim specializes in educational leadership, change management, strategic implementation, and organizational effectiveness. She is the author of Leading the Launch: A Ten-Stage Process for Successful School District Initiatives (2021), Leading Through an Equity Lens (2023), and Gamechanging Leadership in Action: An Educator’s Companion (2026). Kim earned degrees from UC Santa Barbara, UCLA, and UC Davis.
