5 minutes- Welcome & Framing the Session; Introduce presenters and objectives; Brief overview of NEA’s role in supporting educator professional learning.
10 Minutes- Blended Learning & Micro-Credentials Overview; Walk through NEA’s Blended Learning model; Explain micro-credentials: purpose, structure, and how educators earn them; Share success stories of teacher impact and leadership.
15 minutes-Live Website Walkthrough & Course Exploration; Navigate NEA’s Blended Learning website; Show participants how to access and explore micro-credential offerings; Walk through a sample course (AI example).
10 Minutes- Equity & Ethics in Blended Learning & AI; Discuss how NEA designs courses with equity, accessibility, and inclusion in mind; Explore ethical use of AI in professional learning and classroom practice; Prompt small-group discussion: “How do equity and ethics shape your approach to technology?”
10 Minutes- Interactive Design Challenge- Attendees brainstorm how NEA micro-credentials and AI blended learning could be adapted in their own schools or districts; Share highlights from each table/group.
5 Minutes- Resource Share-Provide participants with links, templates, and a curated toolkit of NEA offerings; Encourage attendees to connect with NEA’s micro-credentials after ISTE.
5 Minutes- Reflection & Q&A- Participants reflect on one key action they’ll take; Open Q&A and final thoughts.
After this session, participants will be able to navigate NEA’s Blended Learning and Micro-Credential offerings, explore a sample course through the NEA website, and analyze how these models support professional growth. They will also evaluate how equity and ethics shape the design and implementation of AI-focused learning opportunities.
