Event Information
Minute 1–2: Student presenters introduce themselves and the challenge: how to express identity and creativity through technology.
Minute 3–4: Demonstration of tools (Figma + AI avatar scanner). Teachers see how the prototype works.
Minute 5–6: Students showcase final app features and sample outfits, linking designs to culture, personality, and SDG 10.
Minute 7: Reflection: students explain what they learned about creativity, design, and inclusion.
Minute 8: Q&A with audience, where teachers try the scanning prototype and discuss replicability.
Note: The entire presentation is student-led, with teachers observing authentic student voices.
After this session, participants will be able to replicate a student-led project where learners design avatars and digital clothing that express their personalities. Teachers will understand how fashion design through technology empowers voice, boosts creativity, and supports inclusion. They will leave with strategies to adapt it to subjects like art, social studies, or global citizenship.
During the presentation, attendees will be able to watch elementary school girls demonstrate how they built their fashion app, from scanning avatars to designing outfits. They will analyze prototypes, observe collaboration, and receive access to a website explaining the step-by-step process for classroom replication. Teachers will also explore variations, such as designing sustainable clothing, cultural costumes, or career uniforms, to bring authentic creativity into their own schools.
