After this session, participants will be able to identify and apply fundamental digital etiquette rules for the responsible use of devices, program robots such as Bee-Bot and Dash to address challenges related to these rules, and demonstrate their understanding by creating a digital book using Book Creator. Educators will gain practical strategies to integrate Bee-Bot, Dash, and Book Creator into classroom activities, implementing meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, and responsible technology use in preschool students.
Today’s children are fully immersed in digital tools, surrounded by devices at home and at school, including tablets, smart TVs, and gaming consoles. While early exposure to technology can present challenges to cognitive development, this session demonstrates how these tools can be used safely and educationally, allowing children to engage interactively, spark their curiosity, and understand digital etiquette.
Participants will also develop key skills, including critical thinking, decision-making, collaboration, and creativity, culminating in a collective digital resource that reinforces learning and promotes responsible technology use from an early age.
