Event Information
I propose a dynamic session centered on animation and student reflection that will engage participants and enhance their skills in teaching character animation using Adobe Express. We will kick off with an engaging discussion on what animation means to each participant and its presence in their daily lives, such as in movies and video games. To spark creativity, I will present a short animated clip showcasing various styles and techniques. This will encourage participants to envision their own animated character, fostering imaginative thinking.
As we progress, I will outline the session's objectives, highlighting our focus on animating a character using Adobe Express to have students showcase their personal reflection on the activity they finished in class. By the end, attendees will have the framework to create and present their own short animations featuring a character of their choice, demonstrating their understanding of key animation tools.
Key points will include the importance of understanding key points and their roles in animation. Participants will learn how to utilize Adobe Express tools to create various movements and effects to personalize their animations. We will also discuss how students can easily show their learning by using the Adobe Character Animator to produce a fun reflection piece.
Participants will then observe a guided practice session where I will demonstrate how to create a simple character collaboratively and animate myself, showcasing a quick reflective piece.
This overview will ensure they are well-prepared to experiment with their animations and use this in their classroom as a way for students to reflect on learning or as a quick fun exit ticket.
After this session, participants will be equipped to utilize Adobe Express and the Animate a Character tool in various ways, enabling students to showcase their learning through engaging reflective exit tickets or end-of-unit activities. This versatile tool can be adapted for any subject, allowing teachers to create interactive storytelling projects, visual presentations, and creative assessments that cater to diverse learning styles.
