1. Rethinking assessment and AI: Sharing an anecdotal and research-based rationale and framework including time for individual reflection and small group discussion (10 minutes)
2. Academic integrity and AI: What's different now? Small group discussion (10 minutes)
3. Strategies to partner with AI including an AI usage rubric, formative checks for understanding, and metacognitive reflections: Small group discussions and Padlet sharing (30 minutes)
3. Wrap-up and next steps: Participants will share specific ideas orally and set individual goals for implementing authentic assessment in an AI world (10 minutes)
1. Evaluate AI's impact on on academic integrity and current assessment practices.
2. Identify characteristics of well-thought-out system of assessment including authentic learning and assessment experiences.
3. Explore ways for students to responsibly and ethically partner with AI tools to enhance, but not replace, student-generated evidence of learning.
