                    Mitchel Resnick, Professor of Learning Research at the MIT Media Lab, develops new technologies and activities to engage young people from diverse backgrounds in creative learning experiences. His Lifelong Kindergarten research group developed the Scratch and OctoStudio coding platforms, collaborated with the LEGO Company on the development of LEGO Mindstorms robotics kits, and co-founded the Computer Clubhouse global network after-school learning centers. Resnick was awarded the McGraw Prize in Education, the ISTE Making IT Happen Award, and the LEGO Prize. He is author of "Lifelong Kindergarten: Cultivating Creativity through Projects, Passion, Peers, and Play".
