Tonya graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BS in Computer Science and an MBA. After 10 years in industry with IBM and Texas Instruments, she transitioned to post-secondary education. Her teaching experience includes 7 years of high-school math and computer science and advocating for CS/STEM education. She is passionate about making computer science accessible for students traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields. Currently she is a District and School Growth Manager with Code.org.
