Caitlin McLemore, Ed.D., PMP, is a Senior Research Associate and Project Manager at ISTE + ASCD who specializes in mixed methods research and evaluation projects exploring the intersection of education and technology. Prior to joining ISTE+ASCD, Caitlin led her own consulting business focused on curriculum design, educational research, instructional coaching, and teacher training. Caitlin also worked for eight years in PK-12 independent schools as an academic technology specialist. Caitlin holds an Ed.D. in Technology Integration from Johns Hopkins and an M.Ed. and B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Florida.

This session is designed for education leaders and edtech providers who are interested in building stronger, more collaborative partnerships. With The Center for Outcomes Based Contracting, we’ll explore how mutual accountability – a key ingredient in Outcomes-Based Contracting (OBCs) – can lead to more sustainable and impactful outcomes for all stakeholders, most importantly students. The session will include insights from a district and edtech provider team who have engaged in an outcomes-based contract. They will candidly share their experiences in leveraging OBCs as a strategy to enhance student outcomes, and how this contracting approach is transforming the dynamic of their partnership.
What’s AI Got To Do With It?

For better and worse, generative AI has taken the edtech world by storm in recent months. With so many products claiming to be “powered by AI” today, how do edtech leaders parse the best from the rest? What should one look for when it comes to AI-powered products? How do AI literacy, privacy, and other critical issues enter into conversations regarding product evaluation, selection and purchasing? This session will address these issues “head on” and “hands on” by offering attendees the opportunity to test some edtech product scoring tools, and talk with edtech providers about the issues that matter most to them when it comes to the brave new world of AI-powered edtech.
