Session description

Results from a randomized controlled trial study conducted by the Center for Research in Educational Policy at the University of Memphis following a cohort of students from grades 3 to 5 using Smithsonian Science curriculum modules with accompanying professional development in rural schools in North and South Carolina.

Outline

Attendees will engage in small groups with the presenter. After a brief verbal introduction to the work, participants will be invited to read the poster before engaging in further conversation. If space allows, an iPad will display photos and video from the professional learning described. Trainer’s guides and curriculum materials may also be displayed as accompanying artifacts if there is table space available.
