Session description

Students will develop smart glasses for the blind or visually impaired using advanced AI technology. These glasses provide real-time information about the user’s surroundings, identifying objects like streets, potholes, rocks, and people. The goal is to enhance the quality of life by enabling safer, more independent movement.

Outline

In our session, attendees will learn how to integrate innovative technologies into educational projects to solve real problems. We will explore the process of deliberate design, from idea generation to prototyping and solution implementation. Participants will also discover how to foster global collaboration and computational thinking in their students, using digital tools to connect with diverse perspectives and develop effective technology solutions.

To maintain interest and engagement, we will conduct interaction activities every 10-15 minutes.
We will introduce the objectives of the session and the importance of integrating technology into education.
We will explain the deliberate design process, including idea generation, theory testing, and prototyping, using real-world examples and case studies.
We will detail how to integrate various technologies (such as sensors and AI) into educational projects, demonstrating an example project (such as smart glasses) and its impact. Attendees will engage in a hands-on activity to outline a project plan using provided templates.
We will open the floor for questions and final reflections, encouraging attendees to share their conclusions and next steps, providing a survey to have a feedback.
