Event Information
After the initial introduction, the flow of the session will be brief explanations and/or case studies followed by a time set (literally with a timer) for participants to actively work in a digital guide to flesh out their ideas.
(5 min) Introduce presenters and brief overview of the topic; share link to the digital workspace that has been prepared to guide participant’s individual work during the session (this will be in a FigJam or Canva Whiteboard)
Identify the “Seed” & Determine Influence
(5 min) Digital Sticky-note brainstorm of project sparks that participants currently have or had in the past but abandoned for a variety of reasons
(5 min) Sort sparks into an IQuadrant to help refine the spark idea; comparing “Level of Influence” and “Level of Impact”;
(5 min) provide short global case studies for audience
Ideation Phase:
(10 min) Create lists of possible solutions as if there were no limitations; followed by sorting protocol
(10 min) Decision Making Matrix - explain model followed by participant action time
(10 min) Strategies for Amplifying & Connecting. The seeds of our projects and ideas are “watered” when we connect with others; we will discuss the importance of connections and strategies for building them
(10 min) Call to Action: Ideas grow when they are shared; participants will be encouraged to share their “spark” with an elbow partner and identify an action step that they will take within the next week.
