Event Information
This 60-minute session on "Transforming Education and Community Through Technology" will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of how to engage stakeholders, develop a shared vision, and implement strategic planning for technology integration, inspired by Portsmouth's Digital City Project. The session begins with a brief introduction, including an interactive poll and storytelling to set the context. Participants will then explore how to involve diverse stakeholders in creating a unified vision for technology use, followed by a hands-on activity where they start drafting a strategic plan for their own contexts. The session will highlight innovative teaching practices that leverage technology to support diverse learning needs, with participants reviewing case studies and discussing potential applications in their own settings. Attention will also be given to the importance of evaluating and sustaining technology initiatives, with a reflection activity allowing participants to identify areas for improvement. The session concludes with a recap of key points, an interactive Q&A, and a call to action where participants commit to one actionable step they will take following the session. Throughout the session, a mix of presentation, discussion, and interactive exercises will ensure participants leave with practical strategies and a clear plan for advancing technology integration in their educational environments.
This project is it's own piece of research in the UK built on lessons learnt from lockdown, relevant EEF research and best practice from government guidelines and famous speakers.
