Session description

This session introduces and demonstrates a new, empirically developed, and validated, well-being assessment for adults in K-12 school settings. Presenters will discuss the benefits of utilizing a dynamic, online tool, as well as implications for reporting and continuous tracking over time bringing validated assessments to practical, user-friendly solutions.

Outline

1. We will begin the session with an audience engagement activity to construct a definition of well-being, including the most common emotions educators feel and the sources of their stress and wellness (5 minutes).

3. We will detail the specific aspects of our process from moving an empirically-based assessment to a marketable product, including the balance between maintaining fidelity of assessment with user experience, addressing safety and anonymity, and approaching data with a solutions orientation (10 minutes)
4. We will then showcase the newly automated Educator and Staff Well-Being Survey and Report, offering a demo link where audience members can explore (10 minutes).
5. We will share findings of the first pilot release of the tool, including quantitative and qualitative data on feasibility in a school setting, acceptability, accessibility, and typical use cases. We will also discuss opportunities to incorporate relevant trainings and resources (10 minutes).
